A world first: ProMIS is used to train surgeons in Laparoscopic Colectomy
 Pictured are Mr Paul Neary, consultant surgeon, and Mr Emeka Nzewi, registrar, performing laparoscopic colorectal minimally invasive surgery in Tallaght Hospital, Dublin. This followed what Mr Neary says is a world-first in which surgeons received training from a team led by him on ProMIS simulators in the RCSI the previous day
The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland recently launched the world's first Mobile Surgical Skills Training Unit - enabling the RCSI to bring surgical training to hospitals and centers around the country. The Mobile Unit is fully equipped with five ProMIS simulators.
