Even with recent advances in surgical simulation, integration of simulators into the surgical training curriculum remains frustrating: users are restricted to the Modules and Tasks designed by the simulator company; and what to do with existing, tried-and-tested Tasks? The ProMIS curriculum remains the best-validated of all surgical simulators, but now it offers true integration - whether with your own curriculum or any other physical task-based training program.
The ProMIS `Open Module' has always allowed users to take any existing Task, put it in ProMIS and get standard metrics (as has been shown for FLS Tasks). Our new `ContentCreationTool' goes one step further: you can now, for the first time, design your own measurable surgical training tasks for use in ProMIS. You can:
